John William Glaze

John William Glaze was the foster child of Hattie Mae (Peters) Glaze, and Wesley Glaze.  He was not their child by birth, but was given to them by an unknown and unnamed mother.

It seems that within two (2) years of him being given to the Glazes, Hattie Mae died, because according to my mother’s bible page, John was born in 1936, and Hattie Mae died from cancer in 1938.

After Hattie Mae died, John went to Anniston live with Ulysses and Charlotte and Mary Willis.

In later years, my mother Hattie Lee and Wilkie took care of him, until he graduated from the Randolph County Training School in Roanoke.
