Novella Peters Scott (Isaac Scott)

Novella Peters was the daughter of Harold aka “Hal” and Ida (Cody) Peters.  She married Isaac Scott.   They had five (5) children:  Lola L. Scott, Roy O. Scott, and Carrie A. Scott Oliver, Isaac H. Scott, Daniel W. Scott, and a grandson Owen Harrison.

In 1920, Novella was living in Oak Bowery, where it is believed that she lived out her years.   According to that Census report (1920), these were her children:  Roy O. Scott  (22) at the time; Carrie  A. Scott was (19);  Isaac H. Scott was (17), born around 1913, Daniel W. Scott was (13) born around 1917;  Owen Harrison was a grand-son in this household.  He was 4 1/2 years old, but it is not know who his mother/father was.   He was born around 1926.

On some records, Novella states her mother’s maiden name is listed as Ida Walton.  So, we don’t know which is correct (Ida Cody or Ida Walton).  On once census report, her parents stated that Novella was born in September of 1884.   She died August 23, 1961 in LaFayette, Chambers County, Alabama at the age of 75.   Her death record states that  her father’s name was Harold Peters and mother’s name Ida Walton
