Carrie Scott was the daughter of Novella Peters Scott and Isaac Scott.   She was first seen in the 1910 Census (when she was 2 years of age).   Several families of Scotts were counted (in Oak Bowery)  Isaac Scott was Head of this Household; Novella Peters Scott was his wife; Lola L. was a daughter in this household; Roy was a son;  and Carrie A was a daughter.   She was born April 10, 1910, and died September 20, 2012 in Roanoke, Alabama, at age 102.

She was a long-time member of the Canaan Baptist Church in the Welch Community which is actually on the outskirts of Roanoke, Alabama.   Her cousin, Roy Oliver, who was well known in the Canaan (Welch) Community, died before she did.

At the time of her passing, she was confined to the Roanoke Healthcare Center in Roanoke, Alabama.

According to her obituary which appeared in the Randoph Leader Newspaper:   Carrie lived to be 102 years old, and was a much celebrated centenarian.  “She was survived by her son and daughter-in-law, William “Bo-K” Oliver Jr. and Jewell of Roanoke, Alabama; three grandchildren, Carrie Whatley of Roanoke, Jeffery Smedley of LaGrange, Ga., and Gary Paige of Atlanta; five great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and many special nieces and nephews.”   This means that she was the last of her siblings (Lola and Roy) still alive.
