42nd Annual Peters-Clements-Gazaway Reunion heads to Nags Head, North Carolina on The Outer Banks

We are on the way to 2-3 fun-filled days on the Barrier Islands off the coast of North Carolina.  It is truly a beautiful place, filled where history coincides with the future.  And, when we can’t think of anything else to do, we’ll just go jump in the ocean!  Just think about the sun, the sand, the water, or, on the other hand, the air-conditioned hotel overlooking the ocean.

10:00 am (Option#1) Tour the Wright Brothers National Memorial – They taught the World To Fly!  Wind, sand, and a dream of flight brought Wilbur and Orville Wright to Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, where, after four years of scientific experimentation, they achieved the first successful airplane flights on December 17, 1903.

COST: Adult 16 and older, $4.00; Children 15 and younger, FREE

Leave for Corolla, North Carolina for the Back Beach Wild Horses Tour:  This is a safe family fun way to see the Corolla Wild Horses, descendants of the Spanish Mustangs brought to the New World by explorers as long ago as the early 1500s.  Because the tour goes to their native habitat, you have the chance to experience much more than just a tour to see these majestic beings; you also get stories about the history of this area, a chance to learn about the other wild animals, and vegetation of this area…and maybe a pirate, or two.
COST: Adults $49.00… Kids 12 and Younger $34.00 Kids 3 and younger $15.00  There is a 20% discount for groups of 10 or more

Peters-Clements-Gazaway Family Reunion UPDATE

Hello Family,

We know it is unusual for us to contact you at this time of year, regarding the reunion, but we need to address a couple of issues, the main one being the cost of postage for our reunion correspondence.  We are in the process of purging our data base of people who are no longer interested in receiving reunion information for whatever reason.  So to that end, we are requesting that you fill out the attached form and mail it back in the enclosed envelope.  All you need to do is fill it out and attach a stamp.  Anyuone who does not return the enclosed form by October 15, 2013, will be deleted from our reunion database.  So, won’t you please fill it out now and get it off your “to do list.”  We send out over 90 letters and postcards to keep you informed, so please take a moment and help the reunion committee keep down cost.

The 2nd thing on the agenda is our yellow “forever” shirts with the crest on them have been discontinued.  They still home some in stock, but they are no longer in the catalog.  So if you wish to order a shirt NOW is the time to do it.    The new version will be similar but not the same, so if you want our current version, you must let me know NOW.  The new cost plus mailing is $36.00 per shirt.   I do know they do not have any of the smaller sizes available, but I will check on any other size for you.

Our location for the 2014 Reunion is to be held in Birmingham, Alabama with Stephanie Johnson and committee as host.  We had a wonderful time in New Orleans and the food and fellowship was wonderful.  Several new people joined us for an opportunity to know their family.  So, please think about joining us in July, 2014.
