Hello Family,
We know it is unusual for us to contact you at this time of year, regarding the reunion, but we need to address a couple of issues, the main one being the cost of postage for our reunion correspondence. We are in the process of purging our data base of people who are no longer interested in receiving reunion information for whatever reason. So to that end, we are requesting that you fill out the attached form and mail it back in the enclosed envelope. All you need to do is fill it out and attach a stamp. Anyuone who does not return the enclosed form by October 15, 2013, will be deleted from our reunion database. So, won’t you please fill it out now and get it off your “to do list.” We send out over 90 letters and postcards to keep you informed, so please take a moment and help the reunion committee keep down cost.
The 2nd thing on the agenda is our yellow “forever” shirts with the crest on them have been discontinued. They still home some in stock, but they are no longer in the catalog. So if you wish to order a shirt NOW is the time to do it. The new version will be similar but not the same, so if you want our current version, you must let me know NOW. The new cost plus mailing is $36.00 per shirt. I do know they do not have any of the smaller sizes available, but I will check on any other size for you.
Our location for the 2014 Reunion is to be held in Birmingham, Alabama with Stephanie Johnson and committee as host. We had a wonderful time in New Orleans and the food and fellowship was wonderful. Several new people joined us for an opportunity to know their family. So, please think about joining us in July, 2014.

This Tribute To Our Family Matriarch was presented at the 40th Annual Peters-Clements-Gazaway Family ReUnion In New Orleans, Louisiana July, 2013
As we celebrate our 40th Annual Peters-Celements-Gazaway Family Reunion, we would like to pay tribute to the matriarch of the family,
JAMES EDNA PETERS-WELLS
James Edna is the oldest living family reunion member, celebrating her 91st birthday on May 30th.
Edna was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama. She graduated from Miles College with a B.S. Degree in Education. She taught handwriting and math at the Elementary School level and retired after 32 years of dedicated service.
Edna is best known for her home cooking and southern hospitality. She has opened her home, her heart, her kitchen, her purse and her wardrobe to anyone and everyone.
Proverbs 31:10 reads: “Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies.” So we would like to honor our family Jewell and thank her for the love, wisdom and inspiration that she has shared with us.
BamBam as she is affectionately called by her grandchildren and great grandchildren is still going strong and lives with her daughter, Rosalyn and her family in Birmingham.

The 40th Annual Peters-Clements-Gazaway Famliy Reunion was held in New Orleans, Louisiana July 18th through 21st, 2013.
We had a wonderful itinerary (click to view) that provided for exploration around the city of New Orleans, educational tours, eating out, time to be on your own, and worship.
In addition, our family gatherings were awesome!!! Usually we would meet up every morning in the lobby of the hotel for COMPLIMENTARY breakfast. The food was great. We also received a wonderful keepsake — Our ReUnion Souvenir Journal— (click to view).
It was an absolute blast, and WAY more fun than the pictures actually show. I managed to snap a few photos with my phone camera, but there were many more photos taken. If anyone has access to the family pictures that we took please post them, or mail them to me, so they can be posted on this site.
