Daughter of Desabee and Agnes Peters.   According to the 1930 Census, Montie (misspelled) was 6 years old at the time, meaning she was probably born in 1923.   According to the record, she had two conflicting birthdates.

Later on, after locating the obituary of her oldest brother, Desabee Thaddeus Harold Peters, Jr. I was able to correct the information about Montee and learned that she was a daughter, versus the census that reported her as a son.   She was married to Raymonde Odom, Sr.

She was issued a social security number in Alabama in 1954.

Her death, was recorded in the Atlanta-Journal-Constitution (5-21-1998).  At the time of her death, Montee Peters Odom was residing in Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia.

James Edna Peters is the daughter of Desabe and Agnes Peters.    Affectionately called “Bam-Bam” she was honored at the 2013 Reunion in New Orleans, as the family matriarch, being the oldest living member of the Peters family.
